Football in the Community

oakleypark2The Safer North Hampshire community safety team work in partnership with Aldershot Town Football in the Community Trust and Basingstoke Town FC’s Community Trust. These are not-for-profit charities who provide sporting activities for young people in our community.

We recognise the importance of providing fun activities for young people and the positive effect sport can have, including deterring young people from anti-social behaviour, making new friends, taking an interest in healthy sporting activity and spending time with positive role models.

Initiatives run include evening football sessions, school holiday football courses and pan-disability sessions for young people and adults. They also offer complimentary tickets when appropriate to organisations such as schools, youth groups, charities and voluntary organisations in recognition of the work they do within the community.
