Residents are being urged to complete a survey on perceptions of underage drinking in their local area by the Aldershot South Community Alcohol Partnership (CAP).
Community Alcohol Partnerships seek to bring together local retailers and licensees, trading standards, police, health services, education providers and other local stakeholders to tackle the problem of underage drinking and associated antisocial behaviour. The Aldershot South CAP is being coordinated by the Safer North Hampshire Community Safety Team*, with help from Hampshire Constabulary, Rushmoor Borough Council and Hampshire County Council Trading Standards.
Residents living in the Manor Park, North Town or Aldershot Park wards of Aldershot are invited to complete a short online survey.
The survey can be accessed by visiting www.hart.gov.uk/aldershot-cap-residents-survey. The survey will be open until the beginning of September. Survey results will help inform the CAP’s future strategy as well as raising any issues residents feel they face.
Cllr Ken Muschamp, Rushmoor Borough Council Portfolio Holder for Safety and Regulation said: ‘By residents letting us know about local issues they are experiencing with regard to underage drinking, we can make sure we take action to tackle these, thereby improving the environment, safety and health of everyone in the local area.’
