A crackdown on crime will return across Basingstoke and Deane, Hart and Rushmoor over January and February.
The Safer North Hampshire community safety team will focus on reducing rural crime, shed and garage burglaries, thefts of bicycles and thefts from motor vehicles during its popular Operation: Stronghold.
Police, council officers and Neighbourhood Watch representatives will be on hand to provide crime reduction advice, as well as crime prevention materials including padlocks, shed alarms and timer switches. There will also be the opportunity to purchase discounted heavy duty bike locks at certain venues.
David Lipscombe, Projects Team Leader for Safer North Hampshire, said: “Whether you live in a town, a village or on a farm, you should take security seriously – we are on hand to give advice and recommendations, so come along to one of our roadshows. If you can’t make it then feel free to get in touch via any of the contact details below.”
