A survey has been launched to find out residents’ perceptions of local underage drinking in Aldershot.
The Aldershot South Community Alcohol Partnership (CAP), which brings together local retailers and licensees, trading standards, police, health service and education providers to tackle underage drinking and associated antisocial behaviour, has launched the survey.
Residents living in the Manor Park, North Town and Aldershot Park wards of Aldershot are being asked to let the partnership know their thoughts on underage drinking by completing a short online survey.
The survey is available on the Hart District Council website at www.hart.gov.uk/aldershot-cap-residents-survey. It will be open until the end of January 2017. Survey results will help inform the partnership’s strategy going forward, as well as making them aware of any issues that residents feel they face.
Councillor Ken Muschamp, Rushmoor Borough Council’s Cabinet member for Safety and Regulation, said: “By residents letting us know about local issues they are experiencing about underage drinking, we can make sure we take action to tackle these, improving the environment, safety and health of everyone in the local area.”
The Aldershot South Community Alcohol Partnership is coordinated by the Safer North Hampshire Community Safety Team, with help from Hampshire Constabulary, Rushmoor Borough Council and Hampshire County Council Trading Standards.
